My boss, Paul Allen, gave me what I needed to try again in the arts when he shared his opinion with me. I bought myself a small set of watercolors and a WC paper pad and went for a drive with my two young children that weekend. I sat by the creek and tried the paints out, falling in love with art again. It was the first plein air watercolor painting I did after my divorce. The artist who had been murdered by a negative 8-year long marriage, was reborn sitting by a mountain creek near mile marker 55 on Highway 2 in northern Washington.
