All of the rules for this essay contest are on this page.

A lifetime of work in the arts has now started to make my studio burst at it’s seams. I have decided to sort through and find “new homes” for many of my older paintings. My painting orphans will only be sent to good homes. I will decide what inventory I am willing to part with with a new one every two weeks, till my studio smiles again. Yes, the paintings will be free except, for the cost of mailing them to you (most continental USPS mailings cost under $20). If you are the winner please send a picture of the painting at it’s, “new home” after it arrives.

First you decide whether or not you want to adopt it. Then fill out the adoption form and write your story and submit it to me.

  1. Why you would like to have this specific piece of art?
  2. What would it mean to you? Why?
  3. How does it make you feel?
  4. Where would it be hanging if you win it?

I will read all entries and make a decision within a week of closing the entry time. I will gladly post that each painting has a new home, with a photo that you send to me when you hang it on your wall.
